New Autodesk DWF tools

Autodesk has released new versions of its free DWF tools - DWF Viewer 6.5 and DWF Writer 3.
New DWF Viewer comes with stronger support for 3D, drag-and-drop to MS Office, Print/Send DWF in the file context menu and user interface enhancements. The 3D live sections are very impressive. Also the possibility to manipulate individual parts of an 3D DWF assembly can be very useful. The new DWF Viewer probably also contains the planned GIS client functionality.
DWF Writer (a publishing tool) ads new plugin modules for MS Office, Visio and other applications plus 3D DWF publishing from selected CAD software (non-Autodesk).
These applications can be downloaded from www.autodesk.com/dwf

DWG TrueConvert released

After several postponements Autodesk has released a free standalone tool - DWG TrueConvert - which converts DWG drawing files between individual AutoCAD versions (up AND down). DWG TrueConvert doesn't need (unlike the former Batch Drawing Translator) AutoCAD to be installed.
You can download TrueConvert from www.autodesk.com/dwgtrueconvert
